Amanda Matthews
Founder, Project Manager
Amanda Matthews brings a rich 20+ year history of managing construction projects in various markets to provide a wide range of valuable project management services to Pharos’ clientele. Amanda's experience and capabilities enable her to expertly manage any project from initial lease/buy negotiations and due diligence through construction completion; including management and coordination of design professionals, contractors, furniture and low voltage (telecom, security, audio visual) vendors throughout the project duration.
Amanda offers a vast and impressive project management portfolio of high-profile commercial, industrial, and retail projects. Her experience includes hundreds of tenant improvements projects, 8 new construction projects, 2 large post-remediation projects, several redevelopment projects, over 20 lobby and common area renovation projects, and numerous specialty projects such as cafes, fitness centers, and amenity centers.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University, with concentrations in Construction Management and Geotechnical Engineering. She played Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Lacrosse at Drexel, and was the President of her sorority, Phi Mu Fraternity.
Amanda began her Project Management career at Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia, then moved on to Skanska USA Building. After 5 years of working in the General Contracting field, Amanda transitioned into a Project Manager role at Rubenstein Partners, a large commercial real estate developer in Philadelphia. She then worked as a Project Manager for Pitcairn Properties, Inc., Liberty Property Trust, and Catellus Development Corporation, earning the role of Vice President and Director of Construction / Development at both Pitcairn and Catellus. In 2016, Amanda founded Pharos Project Managers, her own Project Management consulting business.
In her spare time, Amanda coaches her children's Lacrosse teams, is an active member of the PTA, and volunteers in other youth related community programs.
